Referencing well will improve the quality of your academic work and help you avoid accidental plagiarism.
The Classics and Ancient History department uses a referencing style based on MHRA style. Your course handbook gives guidance on how the department expects you to reference and the different referencing conventions for ancient texts and modern material.

There is detailed advice on indexing and on the compilation of bibliographies, including thorny issues around how to alphabetize names.
