Musical scores can be found in the Arts and Social Sciences Library on level 2. You can search for scores in Library Search by entering your search terms and then using the 'format' filter to select 'musical score'. You will also find a collection of scores in the Music department's resources room.
You can search an index of musical scores via our subscription to RISM (Répertoire International des Sources Musicales). This database documents the world's Musical sources of manuscripts or printed Music, and includes works on Music theory and libretti stored in libraries, archives, monasteries, schools and private collections, and A/II: "Music manuscripts after 1600"

Our Special Collections also hold manuscripts of composers, performers, musicologists and musical societies, as well as large concentrations of printed music from the 18th and 19th centuries. Collection strengths include the Philip Napier Miles Collection and the Pinney Family Music Collection.
