While on placement you will have access to the following academy libraries. You should receive a library orientation as part of your academy induction but please do contact the library directly if this doesn't happen. Each Trust will have access to some unique resources and the library will be able to tell you about what is available.

NHS Athens
University of Bristol medical students are entitled to access resources provided by the NHS. You will be registered by the University for an NHS HEI OpenAthens account in your second year and this will give you access to all of the online resources that are available to the NHS nationally.
If you have any problems with this account you can email medadmin-system@bristol.ac.uk for support.
When you are on placement you can also speak to the academy library about a 'local' NHS OpenAthens account that will give you access to the resources that have been subscribed by that particular Trust. This OpenAthens account will only last for the duration of that particular placement. It is important to note that not all Trusts subscribe to the same resources.
