Policy Commons comprises three modules:

Global Think Tanks: a living database of research produced by the world’s leading policy experts, think tanks, research centres, IGOs, and NGOs. Access to more than 30 million pages of curated, high quality policy reports, briefs, analyses, working papers, and datasets from 10,000 policy organisations.

North American City Reports and World Cities: preserves the full text of surveys, budgets, statistical records, case studies, planning documents, training manuals, policy guidelines, reports, and news from 1000 of the world’s major cities (North American City Reports) and from the world’s top 100 cities by population (World Cities). The latter includes capital cities with populations greater than 20,000 people, major cities in the Global South, and cities with particular research importance, such as those dealing with climate change, political instability, or rapid growth.

OECD publishes its recommendations, analysis and data on OECD iLibrary to help inform policy makers, researchers and analysts to implement the best possible responses in their countries.

Discover more than 6 million policy documents and their links to each other, to academic papers and to relevant people and topics. Overton works with leading global universities, IGOs, NGOs, research funders, publishers and think tanks to understand their role in the policymaking landscape – tracking the evolution of ideas all the way from academic and think tank research, through knowledge brokers and other intermediaries, to government reports and legislation. NB This database can be browsed on campus without signing into the Overton site. Off campus, users need to register on the Overton registration page with their @bristol.ac.uk email address.
